The noblest, bravest and most intelligent men and women in the galaxy know where to go to make the most of their genius; the Imperial Navy's Officer Corps! Those in the Navy's Officer Corps take ahold of the galaxy and use the resources of the Empire to enlighten and subjugate those unfortunate enough to live outside of Imperial rule.
Those in the Imperial Navy's Officer Corps are able to take on a number of roles that are all vital to the operational effectiveness of a ship. Communications officers, weapons technicians and members of the admiralty are all important figures that are integral to the Imperial Navy's efficiency. It is thanks to these individuals that our ships run optimally and are able to enact the Emperor's will across the galaxy.

Any senior officer above the rank of Commander.

The leading officer of all of the gunners and gunnery officers aboard a ship or station.

An officer who serves as the direct subordinate to a Gunnery Captain.

Authority in the Navy
Admiralty
As part of the Imperial High Command, those who serve with distinction and merit will likely find themselves rising through the ranks to an Admiral position and joining the Admiralty. The leading department in the Imperial Navy, those in the Admiralty will have power and authority over vast Imperial resources as well as the influence necessary to affect naval doctrine and major decisions.
Naval Intelligence Agency
Colloquially known as Naval Intelligence or the NIA, the Naval Intelligence Agency is a subdivision of Imperial Intelligence. Its headquarters is located in the Federal District on Coruscant, placing it at the heart of the Galactic Empire. Notably, they worked in conjunction with the Imperial Security Bureau and provided insight into situations from a military perspective.
